A few years ago when I was back into RED,s use to have breakfast on Saturdays, with Frank Bradly (Jolly Rancher Car) when we were not running our car. On occasion I would be over to his shop, I noticed he had a 24 stud flathead with finned heads and 97's in his 8N. I can check with him the end of Oct. when I am back, if you think his experience going the other way 24 stud to 8N, let me know!

Just popping in to say hello, fellas. New to bangers, but I’ve been reading up and following the monthly Meets for some time. Hope you don’t mind the occasional new guy question as I get the stocker A motor going and then travel down the path of hoping it up just a bit…

I was more wondering if the internal parts, like the counter weighted crank, would work, but after some research and other expertise I know it won’t. Couple parts I’m keeping off it and will try on the A block I have. Thanks for the offer.

    Steve,
I concur with the previous posts, the exhaust ports are the only ones with hard seats.

So there are, or will be, ersatz Kong banger parts?

  8. I'm not sure about using the word "ersatz", but there has always been reproduced KONG parts.

Good to know - I was looking at some new cast aluminum pieces and they were represented to me as authentic Kong-produced parts

I'm interested in at least 2, maybe more depending on the price.
