I've got a question that I've been able to find the answer to after numerous searches on the forums. I've got an ad posted in the For Sale section for a car I'm selling. Since I placed the a few days ago I've lowered my asking price. How do I go about updating the price listed in the thread heading?

Thanks in advance for the assist

You can only edit your posts/replys within 24 hours.

Just reply to your post and just say you'd like to revise the asking price to $_____

Sounds like you want to change the price that shows up in the forum under the title.

Just let me know what the ad is for and what you want the price changed to and I will do it.

The easiest way to be sure we are talking about the same thread is to copy the url ( http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?p=1462094#post1462094 ) and paste it in the message to me.

Yes, I would like to change the price that shows up in the forum under the title. I had already posted a reply stating my new asking price.

    The thread is: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=129540

The asking price was $1100 OBO but I have now lowered it to $900 OBO.

Thanks in advance for the change. I greatly appreciate the help.

    Done.

I gotta tell you, that is the way to list something for sale. I wish there were more like you.

The price on that car is STUPID CHEAP. I have no idea how it hasn't been snatched up already.

    Mucho thanks.

I tried to list all of the info that I'd want to see when looking for a ride. It would be nice to see "detail" catch on as a trend:)

I thought that I was kinda low-ballin' the price when I originally posted the ad but I was serious about it movin'. I guess, for now, it remains unsold.

    Thanks again.
