Anybody C-notched the back of a 567 chevy pickup-any pics?

    Has anybody c-notched the back of a 567 chevy pickup before? got any pics?

    it's pretty simple, just use a piece of pipe larger than the diameter of your rear end...split it in half longways, and theres your c notch, use it for a template to cut the existing frame. Make sure you support your frame in front and in back of the notch. Your're cutting out material that weakens the frame, and you wouldn't want your frame to be off. Myself I cut one side, and welded it in place...so nothing would get warped. Then I plated the inside, just make sure you don't make the notch go more than halfway up height of your frame rail, it makes it weaker. Make sure to plate the inside also. Sorry, no pics of the actual work itself...just the end result...

    As a matter of fact, I'm grabbing a beer in the middle of my attempt at it...

    I've already got the boxing plates on, but fattie hit the nail on the head.

    i see thanks guy but i meant so i can drop the truck on the ground(slam it) so that would be like 14 inches lower or something like that
