Right?!? A sled/tube/car hood/truck tire etc behind a car/truck/motorcycle/horse is a time honored tradition But, a word to the wise here, be very careful when you decide to try and ride an old Big Wheel tied behind a truck (no place to put your feet and those plastic wheels slide like a mutha!!)
I have a feeling they will when people see the price to replace the batteries in them. We are going to create throw away vehicles because of this cost. And when they are going dead in places where there are crazy low temperatures. My daughter got married a few months back and in the parking lot of the reception hall was a charging station for electric vehicles and the cord had been cut off. It didn't occur to me till then that this will be a problem with people cutting the line off them to sell the wiring in it for scrap.
Ahhh....the old Fox and Hounds restaurant on Woodward in Bloomfield Hills/Birmingham, Michigan area. FANCY!
Wait till it's time to dispose of a old battery pack ! The average pack is the size of a single bed mattress and I'm sure the owner will be charged a hefty re-cycle / disposal fee, since they contain massive amounts of toxic chemicals. I can just see them years from now, stacking up and decomposing or spontaneously combusting in scrap yards because they don't want to pay the fees either.
