I'm trying to replace a brake master cylinder cap but don't know what the master cylinder came off of. It measures 3 1/16" W. x 6" L. It is single bail and is rounded on one end and squared off on the other. Can anyone help me identify the vehicle this might belong to? The guy I got it from said maybe a '70 Mustang with disc brakes or a Ford pickup (not much help).
That's exactly what mine looks like but I am looking for dimensions. Most are 2.75" x 5.75" but mine is bigger, 3 1/16" x 6". Nobody lists dimensions on their listings and the guys at the auto parts stores can't tell me anything except to ask what make and model it is for.
Can you take a pic of it ?? Also, do the brake lines come out towards the mill or towards the fender ?? Last... is it mounted to a vehicle ?? Ricky.
It looks exactly like the picture posted by Squirrel above. Lines come out what would be the fender side if it was mounted on a firewall. It's on a 32 coupe so it's mounted the reverse of a normal location. And yes it is on the car.

The Ford single bale masters, there is a "small" cap and a "large" cap style. I'd suggest calling Pete & Jake's with your question.
