The brand looked to possibly be "Thompson" ? Someone had machined some of the fins off at some point and only left the "N". There is an accessory drive (snout) casted into the plate as well. I'm pretty sure it's a back plate to a blower. Anyone out there know?

    Thanks

  2. Beautiful piece,,,I’ve seen similar parts that were used to drive a fuel pump from the back plate .
But,,,usually the drive for a pump is 3/8 hex spline .

The tooth count on the gears are 12 and 24,,,,,so it would reduce the ratio to half speed .

    It’s still a beautiful piece .

I wonder if that was on the front of a Potvin setup.

    Ends with an N.

The four bolt mount for the pump made me think of Algon, they used an aircraft pump.

That is the closest so far.
