Truthfully.... its impossible, but i guess when your cruising HER car around she wants the guys to know its.......
Funny-my ****'s c-clamped together on 2x4s and my ***** blonde roomate's already asking if I'll let her drive it!
My wifes car is currently the only one we drive. The 41 has a few issues that need to be worked out and I have no extra $$$ and I won't do it on the cheap so it sits. The Hel Camino, same story. Her cars name is VI**XEN and the tag says so. Makes you feel like a man driving that around...
HAHAHA. Dress up in drag and hit the saturday night cruise spot. The looks on peoples faces would be somewhere between confused and disgusted....and maybe a little intruiged... haha
Trust me dude, people who know me around here wouldn't even blonk an eye no matter what I do anymore. Show up at a cruise night with a fake sheep strapped on the front of you and all you hear is, "What the hell is RASHY up to now?" Maybe I need to reinvent myself? Yeah ROOT, the name does fit. Kinda sad I suppose.
yeah...it took wifey to get into the "we are gonna cut the suspension off of your car and weld the suspension from this other car onto it" idea. she still seems a little "skittish" about it.
My wife was saving for a 68 Camaro, her "dream" car. It was about to become my nightmare. Forget about the Italian stereotypes and all, I was gonna have to grow my mullet back and it gets mighty hot around here in the summers! We were at the Springfield Nats encouraging the burn outs and supplying the water from the hotel hot tub and a 59 Impala went by. She about **** herself. She got up and literally took off running after it. Luckily it was staying two doors down at another motel. I still have no idea what he had it there for considering it wouldn't get in the fairgrounds and he wasn't a local, a sign from above perhaps? So we catch up with the thing and she is in love, only she starts picking it apart. She is a "less is more" kinda girl (as anyone who has ever met me would ***ume) and she didn't like all the extra chrome things that an Impala has. But a Biscayne did not. It also just so happened that we were hanging with the Green Country Gang as we were loan wolfing it and one of their members had a 59 Biscayne for sale sometime back. We went to the hotel and talked to him and low and behold, he still had it and it was for sale. She couldn't stop talking about it and we wound up talking him into leaving a bit early the next day and we went and looked at it. It was not pretty but she sat in the thing, dead bugs, mouse **** and all and was grinning ear to ear. I went to work Monday and wound up in Milwaukee by the end of the day to fix/replace some swivels on a KC-135 trainer. Talked to her that night, 59 this, 59 that. Talked to her again on Tuesday night and she went to the bank at lunch and bought it. Wanted to know how soon I would be home because she wanted to drive it by her birthday... almost four weeks away. It was not running and hadn't for three years. Thanks to alot of help from Monkey, Toot and Myers, it was ready with a week to spare.
well my new old lady just wants to ride in the shoe box. Although lately she's been asking what the coolest car is 63 was. Maybe I will find her something cool of her own. She's good looking but kind of scary. She'll wash it and polish it and loves to go riding (not the scary part). The scary part was she actually said I could have all the projects I wanted. She did get me with NON running cars could not be in the front yard. We'll see....
I was trying to get in touch with my feminine side just the other night. It had a headache. Cool lookin' Chevy, Rash.
Many years ago a very good friend courted his wife in a 65 Barracuda. Had the usual late 60s things going on. About 5 years ago he enlisted me to do a fresh one just for her. We did it in black with a silver Formula S stripe, he added a pop out fuel door, Cragars, a 4 spd, and just enough at***ude to the stance. Figures he now has both of his high school sweethearts back. They been married like 40yrs or sumthin. Quote..."I shoulda done this 20yrs ago."
