Joey @J.Ukrop - As the late @3wLarry Roller would say: "Cool Beans!" I too dig the candy-striped interior. Here's a July 2020 article (by Damon @Nomad Lee) featuring Dan @dolsen37's "Perfectly Imperfect" Deuce Roadster: RED LETTER ROADSTER – PERSEVERANCE AND GOOD FORTUNE PAY OFF ON DAN OLSEN’S RESURRECTED DEUCE - Todd @HEMI32 Olson
What a thrill to see one of our coolest hot rods in Omaha, Ne. Dan Olsen is one of the rare builders who can do all phases himself, his Dad was one of Omaha's original traditional rodders that lived the lifestyle and was a talented upholsterer himself. Dan is a modest guy who would not toot his own horn that much. But he is Omaha's current Fire Chief, a position he earned by coming up through the ranks. He had built an award-winning 50 Mercury coupe previous to this build and was just one of a string of fabulous customs and hot rods built in his circle of friends. Dan is a true gentleman who makes Omaha proud!
Out of all the excellent cars shown in the current ROC thread, that one caught me…hook, line and sinker!
There were such an overwhelming number of cool cars at the Roc I couldn’t inspect them all. This is one I wish I would have spent more time on!
It pops for sure plus a lot of these cars are driven to and from... Good to meet and see you Joey plus helping me understand by putting the history with the car See you down the road
One of my faves of the show. Reminded me of Gray Baskerville's car....with maybe another million miles of love on it.
i love a car like this, because i imagine old hot rods to be like this, not every teenager had the money for chromed grilles, shiny headers and such, and such, they were old cars, and they had rust, wear, and such. in 1959 this car was 27 years old, far from a new car by those standards. but i never lived it, so i would never know, I'm trying to see the little spots to peer past the rose colored glasses and see how it was, truely.
