Jeez. It seems like the only way to fight this kinda stuff is to put the whole site behind a paywall -AND- require a two step verification before each and every post, regardless of what part of the forum in which you want to post. It ****s, but that's where we're headed. If some of these folks would put half the time and effort they invest in being s***bags into doing something legitimate, they would be rich.
Hey fellas... Public Service Announcement of Sorts. Change your p***words. Here, it's not that big of a deal (but you should still do it) as we are small and I watch access points pretty consistently. However, if you use things like eBay, YouTube, Insta, etc... change your p***words today. And use different long string p***words on every site/service you use. Example of a long string is something like this: rzR[ck+2:y^beZ%M-"s}} A p***word should be damned near impossible to remember. As such, use something like 1p***word to keep and store these. Or if you are in the apple ecosystem, use their p***word management. You just need something encrypted. *** Doing some brute force testing just to show guys how easy a p***word is to crack. Here's some example p***words and the time it took my script to crack them. porsche964 - 4.55 seconds TGJ2022tgj - 4 minutes 21 seconds WrenchMaid! - 5 minutes 02 seconds 1921Texas!3245 - 3 hours 7 minutes 12 seconds rzR[ck+2:y^beZ%M-"s}} - 36 hours and running
Good advice Ryan.. Thanks so much to you fellas for jumping on this so fast. I have a few friends who sell on instagram that are now putting a slip of paper with their user name in every picture. This shows who the real seller is. Might be a good method for cl***ifieds here as well.
Hell man, I can't even remember my current p***word so that I can change it! It's saved to my phone. How can I get it so that I can change it?
I must say, I've seen indyjps all over the site, and when I first started reading this thread I thought "awwwwww damn, he's gone rouge!" Lmao
