Looks like a very solid truck you started with. Does the serial number on your 1929 title match the frame you have? I only ask this because your Cab, fenders and radiator shell are not 1929. They are 1930 and your Splash aprons are 1931. If your title says 1929 then it would have to because of a previous engine swap sometime in it's life and it was registered using the replacement 1929 engine, Or that body you have was put over on the 1929 frame. The reason I am bringing this up is If your frame serial number does not match your title Seeing as how you have replaced the 1929 model A engine You have nothing legit that proves ownership of your truck. And stuff like this for the last few years has been becoming serious problems for guys. Basically for anyone who knows their fords if you tell them your truck is a 1929 a Red flag is going up immediately do to nothing about it looks like a 1929. Not trying to sound Negative I just don't want you to get your truck impounded with No proof of ownership to get it back.

So, I finally have possession of the title from my father and to my surprise, it states it’s a 1930, so I guess I’m in luck there. Examining the title, it shows the engine number but what number would match the frame? There is a faint remainder of stamped numbers on the driver’s side engine compartment area that could be a match if I knew better what I was looking for. Thoughts?...

If the engine is original then the number on the frame will be the same.

The serial number on the frame should be on the drivers side under the cowl. All model A engines were built at the River Rouge plant in Dearborn MI. The serial number was stamped on the engine, then the engine was shipped to one of the assembly plants. When the engine was put into the chassis, the engine serial number was then stamped on the frame.

Question on the model a build
in this picture i have the same frame in my 31 A pickup. The welded on radiused support tabs beside the upper shock mounts, that support the wood frame of the box keep cracking on my truck. Right at the weld .This will be the 3rd time I've had to weld them this year . Any body else have this problem ? and if so ... how did you remedy it ? thanks for the help im thinking of going with thicker mtl .and a longer bracket under the frame ,Not just along the edge

Do you have bump stops on your axle to keep from bottoming out the coil overs. Usually see mounts crack or the mounting bolts bend do to that.
