    1962 NHRA Winternationals D/SA trophy run saw William Trevor in his '57 Buick 364/300 beat Tom Ritchie in his '62 Pontiac GP 389/303. The Buick winning time was 14.21 @ 95.94 MPH.

    I remember when Garlits first made the West Coast appearance, His wife & kids in their Chrysler Station wagon pushing him off the line at Bakersfield in 1958.
