Wow, that's 2941.00 for each manifold.

I doubt it will get a bid with a starting figure like that.

It would be *****in' just to go look inside the place and check out all the cool stuff. Some of the names on the manifolds I've never heard of before. His ad said to make him an offer....

Did you see the bus he's also got on eBay right now? That'd make for a kool RV....

I have watched that guys auctions before, some crazy rare stuff in great shape. That being said, he knows full well what he has and is asking top dollar for it all. I believe that is a "Yes dear, I am trying to sell my collection of hot rod stuff." kind of price. Neat to look at the pics though. Right click save, right click save:D .

how many of those manifolds from oddball manufacturers can even be found these days? are a lot of those pretty much "one left in the world" pieces, or are most of them still findable to the right person with money? there were a lot of names there that I'd never heard of, it'd be interesting to see how much some of those bring per piece for the rarer stuff...

Hey, He does have a "Best Offer" ****on, I wonder if he'd take $75 ?????

  9. How many people have a half a million to dump into a bunch of flathead intakes? Those rich guys only use crate EFI V8's with automatic overdrive transmissions.

If they want to make the most out of their collection, they'll just have to list one at a time at 7 day auctions. Of course that would take a little over 3 years.

I think that starting bid/buy it now is high, but its for a reason. He put it there to let you know that he is serious and knows what he has. The best offer ****on will gesome use, im sure. Im sure he will entertain offers lower than half a mil.

That said, some of those are so rare that im sure they are 1 of 1 or 1 of 2 out there right now making them worth truckloads alone. Their worth alone will add up quickly.

    Who knows.

I wish there were mine but then i would have to find 170 flatheads to put them all on. And about 400 carbs...

That must have taken some serious work to build that collection. Gotta respect the time and dedication that went into it. Pretty cool. It would be awesome if that collection ended up in a traditional hot rod museum or something. I don't know if there is one, but if not this would be a damn good start for one. I'd love a chance to admire those in person.

I would imagine Bill already knows of this collection. If he was going to buy them they would have been there already I would think.

eBay NO RESERVE auctions are the best, start it off and let the market deside what the stuff is worth.

I talked to him back around 1999. Not long before that, he used to own the old Moonjeam (car lot adverti*****t) '32 roadster.

He's an honest enthusiast with quality stuff.

No collecting involved, he bought all those one lump sum on ebay last year for a little over 30K. He might have owned some prior to that but that auction was for the majority of them. It'd be nice to turn 30K into 500K. He started selling the really rare ones off piecemeal right after that to try and recoup a few thousand.

    (ps: it's Moomjean)

Is there something you don't understand about my post???....I don't believe anyone is stupid enough to bid when he has such a high starting figure.

I know the seller of these manifolds and he is a really cl***y gentleman from up near San Francisco........San Jose actually......

Mike Russell is the seller, and he has the very best of all the parts that he has.....when he says this collection is museum quality,.......believe him!
