Isn't the first roadster (the blue one) Mike Bishop's old car from the "How to Build a Traditional Ford Hot Rod" book?

    that'd be the one

we followed it for a few miles on the way to the show
    on I5 in the rain

looks good even with all the miles on it
    testament to the builders

Sorry I missed it. Woulda loved to see the Bishop/Tardel roadster. Was the turnout hampered by the weather?

Love that 28-29 Coupe. Is it true that the owner drives it on the street with only a hand brake for stopping?

as far as the turnout I would say at least double what was there last year.....more vendors etc.....in fact I do believe they will have to open up more area next year if it keeps growing .

this is the only other pic I took of the coupe...there should be plenty others with pics to post , maybe some one will have some better shots

That would be true Kevin. It's quite a sight watching him - shift, steer and brake. And only rear brakes!

In the back left of this image, is that the Eagle Electric digger of the K.A.R.S Racing Team?

I don't know of any other rails with a unique chute pack body like that.

It had a one page write up in the September of '67 issue of Hot Rod.

That would be cool if they brought it back...

    Thanks...

Had a great time at the track. Saw some new stuff, that altered wheelbased Rambler was pretty wild. Thats another one of Richards creations. Hes got all the altered wheelbased Dodges with Injected hemis in em. Hotrod mag did an article on Him with the 64 Fairlane. Lots of nice cars parked on the grass. Dont have any pics. Thanks to Bruce and His Chicken the after party was great. Good to see everyon again. FEDER

The maiden voyage went off good without a hitch, but I wish I had better oil pressure and the motor would quit knocking.
And Rolf gongrats on winning best "RAT ROD" hehe that was funny, if thats a rat rod, I'm a monkeys unkl!
See ya all in a few weeks for the "Wolrd famous SWINDLERS" poker run, that is if my motor holds together.
