After seeing DAD rip around in that A V8 Coupe... and his ear to ear grin after the Trophy runs, made life good again!

I came across this picture that fits. I'm having difficulty identifying the engine and the hub caps, can anyone help?

Thanks for the reply Tim, .... I don't have a program to "sharpen" up these old photos.
    I really love this Coupe.

My buddy has a set of caps like that on his hot rod right now and they are olds, the motor looks olds or caddy to me but I don’t know either we’ll enough to identify it off the exhaust manifolds. Figure it’s got olds caps maybe it go the engine too! Wouldn’t be the first time

The car that bit me hard….my dad would put me in this while we worked on tractors an such in the machine shop. South Dakota mid to late 50’s I’m 66 this year. The dash survived, the steering wheel has been replaced, the original is now a wall hanger 870B17F7-40AE-495E-9EEB-D8E7236C00EE.jpeg 3EB49F39-8A5C-4BF6-A643-A31796B5E014.jpeg DD573F81-8EF5-4A91-865E-1AB59266E5A8.jpeg 790E907F-26CB-40B0-B6D4-B2C9BF6F9848.jpeg 6FA6F4A0-5D52-4F2A-97A9-97A3107C51C9.jpeg

I think it’s all gone now. On another note, I went back ten years ago (maybe more) and found the original hood sides gas tank and front splash pan F83685C5-C885-42CD-BE66-8888A6F03117.jpeg

That’s crazy! Wonder what’s there now. Did you know Ron Sorlye? He was in Hawarden with a heavy chopped 5 window with… maybe like a 6 carb nail head? Been a long time since I’ve sat and talked with him. Not 100% he’s still around now that I think about it.

Dennis’s Saum’s mega chopped 3 window came out of the same rough time period and he’d found it in Ponca. Fun to imagine real hot rods cruising Sioux county in the 50’s

Tough on a guy who never grew up seeing a lot of channeled hot rods. There were some but I didn’t lean towards them at all. Maybe being over 6’ had something to do with it.
