I am trying to replicate my wheel well covers and need some ideas on how to get them off in one piece. There is a chance that I can get them 3D printed if I can get them out of the car and take them down to the printer. But as you can see they are a tad broken up. Any ideas on how to get them out with out crumbling and preserving the texture?

I’ve had success in carefully cleaning stuff
Like that to remove as much dirt and dust as possible without destroying the part. Then carefully cover the entire part in clear packing tape. I ***ume they are going to laser scan them. I don’t know how the tape may affect that.

They are still discussing how to scan and print them. They don’t have a big enough printer to do this all in one shot so they may be done Ian sections and glued together. I will have to wait and see what they come up with. Not sure if there is a bed big enough for these, short of an industrial printer. I may have to go to Seattle for that.
