Projects Kustom 1958 f100

View attachment 5550848 I'm starting a build thread on here to share my progress, hoping for some inspiration and advice. I'm trying to build a somewhat radical kustom. Looking for ideas that are wild without going too far and just becoming ugly.

1956 Oldsmobile/ 1957 Lancer hubcaps
1964 Galaxie taillights
1963 Galaxie reverse lights

this was the day I bought the truck. It had a fake patina and a very 80s interior.

 

This is the current state of the truck

 

I'll follow alone, just hope your going to get rid of the pink

 

i love the 57-58 f 100's. look's like your's has already had a lot of custom suspension work. wheels look good, but now the elephant in the room my god that color

 

nice start. i have a 55 f100 im starting on. already has a 56 olds dash and volare front suspension.

Haha I hated the pink as soon as I painted it. It will be changing once I'm done cutting up the body

 

I'm torn on the paint though, either something simple or a little more crazy

 

I’ll be odd guy out, I like the pink.

 

I like the paint on the pickup, I’ve not the talent or $$ to do it though.

 

simple scallops would look great. easy to lay out.

When it comes to Trucks, Less is More most often. So I'll go ahead and bring this up (I hesitated at first). Those back up lights. I happen to own a really nice 59 Ford 2d Ht and I have heard about the stock back up lights for ever. Yes I agree they were a bad idea from the Factory. Seeing them on your Truck reinforces it 10 times.

 

Add to it yours look ******s on a Pole Dancer and I will only say I hope they are on the list of things to change.

 

I kinda dig 'em. If there was a chrome bezel around the tail lights, I think they'd blend in nice.

Besides... what's wrong with pole dancer ******s?

Nope, they're the most recent project I've been working on. I absolutely love the rear end of 59 ford's and that's what I styled this after

 

I've been looking for some trim rings to put on them but they're kinda an odd size. Still haven't decided how I'm going to finish around them

 

I sectioned a 58 chevy bumper to fit the front. Still have to modify the front to get rid of the gap

 

I'll fallow this one like the taillights.
