what in god's name, is a swamp cooler?

 

Swamp cooler is "old skool" air con...mainly seen on Lowrider Bombs these days.

I'll try and find some pretty pics.

Rustypipes, go on a Vdub site like the Samba. All the VWs came with swamp coolers. Or at least it seems that way if you go to a VW show. Expect to pay about $200 for one.

 

I love my swamp kooler. They look awful on a chopped merc, but I don't care because I'm a lot kooler on the highway. I've had my for years, painted it hot rod black. I drove in to my buddies shop and the high school kids thought it was a Bazooka "Base" speaker.
