Looks like a nice car. Can you give us information on it? Sounds like there is a story behind it and enquiring minds need the story.
After selling a 1964 lemans convertible last year and my Harley this year(getting old the law of averages catching up) was on the lockout for a 1940 Ford sedan. That was the first car I ever bought as a paper boy. I have a 1957 Belair like the car my wife first dated in, she has the car I built for her not Hamb correct. have built a 1954 Corvette replica that was like my friends in high school and owned it it for a while the sold to go to Lincoln Tech so I could make a living. So have been on the search for first car.......made a deal on a a 4 door 1940 but buyer seller backed ( was going to buy the 4 door cause they are cheaper .A friend has a end of the year cookout and someone asked my what was next after near finished with the Vette. I told him was looking for a 1939 or 1940 Ford......the guy behind me said I have one...2 miles from home. Looked car over bought it. Car was built in 1974 changed hands sometime late 90's then again 11 years ago. Been sitting for a while. Car has a 1956 sbc,T 10 4 speed,1957 Chevy rear end,1957 Chevy truck dash cluster, lacquer paint that is peeling and cracked. Car is rust free except driver floor that has been patched .Crush velvet interior with Camaro buckets. Have rebuilt carb...bleed brakes and drove around block. Needs suspension rework ,steering and brakes...planning to upgrade all mechanics and drive it. The Hamb is my go to forum for technical info.........Thanks for the help over the years
Sounds like a cool car for sure! Amazing how the right cars find us sometimes. In my opinion, that drivetrain makes it.
