That looks so Good! I can't believe you can build it & paint it at the same time.

That looks great. I would not of thought that those three colors would go together, but they work perfectly.
I don't recall reading it, what did you end up using for latches.
    Thanks

I was hoping the paint would be well cured by the time we put it together. I'll have to touch up the back of the hood where we had to finesse it .
We got permission to make a two piece hood. The one piece hood with 3 hinges was heavy and awkward. Taking it on and off five times a day was a lot of work.

I plan on painting the fenders green to match the cab. Hoping it won't be as hot as black is at Bonneville.

We've used the hood pins, top and sides. Bonneville says you have to have more than the original latches.

It's 1928 Model A running gear with a 23 T body and a B engine. I use it for Jalopy racing which is very big around here.
Top picture is the Coatesville Grand Prix.
Second picture is the Latimore Valley Fairgrounds and the third is Frank and I at Path Valley . We built it about 4 years ago.

That is a very impressive " Jalopy ", I like everything about it!
The "M" in the front nerf/grille bars is KICK ***!

A cheap, simple way to have a blast while waiting for the next Landspeed event.

That looks like fun! I have enough junk in my yard to build one of those. Maybe a fleet, if I could only get into my shop.

IMG_20221108_141304773.jpg Ordered the rods and Pistons for the 302. It may be 4 months. So in the meantime we'll put the bed together.
But we made a few more purchases. 15403.jpeg IMG_20221113_144009758_HDR.jpg IMG_20221113_121427323_HDR.jpg IMG_20221113_121417699.jpg Another 46 GMC, a Lakester my buddy has been working on for 20 years, a vintage drag car and a belly tank that raced at Bonneville in 1964. We'll get these all restored in the next few years.
