    I forgot this:

There are three seals in this photo, one under each dot.

The hole with the arrow is the one that may be in your pump body, just not in the reservoir.

I honestly do not remember ever seeing a Saginaw P pump with no hole threaded hole there. That would make two part numbers, two stocking SKU's, and two spare parts supply support supply chains, when drilling and tapping one more hole means just one of all of those things. Not to mention a fat load of documentation about which pump fits what vehicle.

I cannot imagine that there are two part numbers. That would not be cost effective.

Two holes, and one pump body fits all applications.

The fourth pump seal is the big square o-ring on the front of the pump:

There is a round o-ring on the flow valve. That's all of the soft stuff to get it back together.

If I am remembering correctly you can remove all of these shims and it will increase the pump output pressure. I didn't have the fancy clamp so I just used 2 pieces of soft wood when I added or removed the shims.

  4. @topher5150 , pic of the leftover piece of template material, on 1/4" grid paper. The edges look like they are overhanging, but they are right on the outer lines. I think I drilled the large hole in the bracket 7/8" (up to 1") diameter, so that a 5/8 socket would fit inside. This should help you get started in CAD. template.jpg
