Hello and a Question from a New Guy

Hey Guys,
Im new here. Im from So. Cal. and I have a 50 Shoebox Ford like so many. I also have a 46 ford truck both with flatheads. I read an article from Rumbleseat about setting advance on a 59a Mallory. I have an 8ba in my box and was wondering if a stock 8ba likes the same amount of advance as a 59a? also would that allen wrench measurement for setting advance be the same on a 8ba motor. I will try to include photo of my car.
