Has anyone painted with the Automotive Art brand of paint? I’ve used PPG ShopLine and it was okay I guess but was shocked at how transparent it was. Needed three/four coats to get good coverage. A paint supplier close to home deals with this brand and next time I might want to give it a try.

It's all about the solids content over resins in the mix. Time to check the product data sheet to see if there is a saving on product with the extra coverage required.

  5. Finishmaster is one of my customers and they have told me they have had had a lot of success with the line.

  6. Most of your economically priced paints have less pigment. They need help to cover. A tinted sealer, a value shade sealer or a ground coat of similar colored paint.
