How can that be, Y blocks don't make any power. That's been clearly stated in a number of threads.

Great Y Block combo and in a Great little Bird. Thanks, John Mummert, for keeping the y Block alive all these years. I'm still running the iron heads you guys ported and massaged for me years ago (2006?), and still going strong.

Sweet setup John, maybe Joe D will put his 613 hp 375 incher in his Bird to give you a little competition- that would be fun to watch

It could be, it takes a lot of work to get a T-Bird to 1.29 60 ft. It was running 9.36 @141 mph off the throttle stop in the morning air. Its a stout small block door slammer of any kind.

Yep, car works very well. What tires, looks like maybe 14 x 32s? How wide is the rearend? I just got a pair of 14" wide Americans for my 56, and have a couple 48" rearends, a 35 spline Strange with ladders and a nice 40 spline Mark Williams with 4.86s, a spool and 4-link. I also have a pre-welded Alston long back half frame for the 4- link that I picked up for my 65 Comet, but maybe the Bird? It's getting another 427

I do't think the rears are 14x32. I think they a little bigger than they are because of the small front tires for the 4 tenths tree
