I did as I was working on it ! Gearhead kookoo a real case of Worktop Fever . If it ran at 200 rpm yes I'd go with it I thought I mentioned about ships in the thread . Man you know how I am look at Freddie I always give it a go then decide and my decision here is to replace it that oil sleeve has to go also hey man it's all fun doing this I deplore catalogs always have so I'm going to call Reds and see if the have a left hander from the day .I did find a brand new in the box crank gear but it's right hand so maybe I get that one come the first and go back to Alan's and get my Right handed back . We building a vintage and that means 50's parts as much as INSANELY possible . Why ? The build needs a theme and I need to stick with the theme to keep from getting bored with ' Another Flathead Build ' I gotta keep it exciting Tommy I'm a nut for this stuff . So we see what comes up between now and January . Mind you I get my vintage parts on all but intake valves , keepers , gaskets and a belt oh and those Isky springs . Thanks for checking if I have really lost it . Maybe I buy yours ! lol lol

 

Oh Tommy ! You forgot to outline the sleeve ! The sleeve on the left its pitted like the moon . Ya the oil seal sleeve I can ride a sidehack all thru it . We are not installing yet this is the inspection stage so cleaning things up and inspecting and prepping for Dick to shave it and balance it all and work magic on some 1.7 intakes. Oh zoom in on the top teeth in that second picture on my last set of pictures you can see all the stress lines in the sides of the teeth . It's a fun gear indeed ! If I was at the track and only had to do 7 seconds and no other gear was around and Erika kissed me on the helmet I'd run it . But she is German and never allows things like this . This is an add in from the post above I should have hit reply . I can sharpen your teeth too I did mine once and yes only once ! Oh my tongue !!!
