You are welcome for the lightheartedness on a real subject . Your fender experience was not a good experience man that's too bad 7 years a long time indeed ! . I'm in need of a front fender same story only just a year and a half and yes I found one and I think it's $400 to much at a grand$so I will drop it to 8 and hold out 850 to him soon one day before it goes up to 1250 then I'll drop you a line and see if you want to learn to be handy with an English Wheel I need to learn too ! Really I got to stay vintage or maybe fiberglass after I've gone lost it all ! Anyways I am glad Pete & Jake's has been here thru the years and it's had a road turn or two but I am grateful Jason/Jerry is guiding the business as a true car guys . They knows our efforts are real . Fenders fenders ...
It's underwhelming. Two steel buildings off an exit South of KC in Peculiar MO. Sometimes you don't need fancy to produce good parts and great customer service.
Granted, their offerings were a lot more limited but when I visited Pete & Jake’s with a pal in June of 1976 they were in a small shop in Temple City. We didn’t get to see Jake but Pete welcomed us in like old friends. There were two employees welding up four bars and Pete had the beginnings of SIROD, the ‘27 lowboy he was building for his dad up on the rack. The frame was 2 x 3 tube, with the suspension complete and the ‘glass body was mounted. Humble beginnings for a business now known the world over.
