I found a old photo of my pops working on im guessing a late 30's GM. I was wondering if anyone could pin down a model? Thanks.

That's a 216 Chevy valve cover, so it pretty much has to be a 1937, 1938 or 1939 Chevy since '37 is the first year of 216 and 39 is the last year of the side opening hood on cars.

The body line looks too small to be 37/38, so I think it's a 39 chevy. The point at the front of the hood agrees.

39 Chevy car for sure, see the ribs in the cowl and the shape of the valve cover? Horn position too.
