Only 2 problems with the Pumpkin Run:

    1. Registration is at the Holiday Inn @ Eastgate so coming from the east you have to go past Owensville to register, then back.

    2. It's usually a dust bowl but sometimes it's a mud bowl.

    Good things:

Split the pot at around 10K

You get to see Booboo and maybe Petejoe and maybe Bustingear.

Mac VanPelt will prolly be there also

I would be a miracle if I could be there. I have to leave that Sat morning early to fly out to San Fran for my daughters wedding. She might get pissed if I didnt show up. I tried to tell her way back earlier this year that this weekend was the Pumpkin Run. Unfortunately, she could only get these dates for her wedding. I'll be thinkin about you fellas.....wishin I was there, and that her wedding was the following week. Oh well.

My brother, Rick, will probably be there. You can chew the fat with him.

I MIGHT be able to go if we get this car and it's really roadworthy. Chances are not, though. The woman's on vacation from work and we've got home improvement plans out the ass. Our bathroom is stripped right now and she's getting ready to paint it, so definitely don't count on me...

Denise we'd be proud if you join us at the Pumpkin Run. I think last year there were 3500 cars. Show runs Fri, Sat, and Sunday. Split the pot usually goes to 10 g's Sat & Sun. Most of the roads on the fairgrounds are gravel so there is some dusting that occurs.

Should be a straight shot for you and Roadstar (and anyone else from your neck of the woods) once you get to South I-75. Take I-75 south about 4-1/2 hours from Detroit to I-275 East on the North side of Cinci. Take I-275 to Route 32 East. Just after you enter 32 East you need to take the 1st exit right (prolly 1500 yards) to Eastgate Blvd. At the light turn right and you'll pass over Route 32 and will see the Holiday Inn on your left. You need to register there.

Once you have registered you can go two ways to Owensville.

1ST Route: Go back to I-275 and go North to the first exit (4 miles) which is Route 50 East. Go about 10-12 miles East on Route 50 to Owensville and a traffic light at Route 132. Go north on Route 132 2 blocks and the gate is on the right.

2ND Route: Go back to 32 East and go about 6 miles east to Route 222 North. Go North on Route 222 about 2 miles to Route 50. Turn right on 50 (East) about 4 miles to Route 132 at the same traffic light as above.

You don't even have to bring cookies:D

wow....thats a really cool show.....sadly i didn;t really talk to anyone but i was looking at darn near everything....still kinda stoked on the lime green pearl f-1 p/u.....that was the perfect green. and the 48-53 chevy p/u with the 59 cad fins and monster flamethrowers.....very nice indeed.....i'd guess somewhere in the region of 2000 cars....found a cool steering wheel for the 53. and spent way too much on the 50/50 drawing, but the way i see it (as i didn't win) i got to give a few bucks to the shriners. all in all, i'll be making this show a regular stop on my schedule. lots o' fun!:D

I was at Darin's booth when you came by dabirdguy, but I was talking to Taz and his fiance and didn't get a chance to say hello. I took my girlfriend's son with me and he loves that show. Even taught him a few things about old cars as we walked around. I gave him the digital camera and sent him off on his own. Really curious to see what I'll find when I download the camera later today.

    Bummer....
You should have collered me. Always good o meet HAMBer and get some idea of the face behind the keyboard.
Be sure to share the pics the young'en captured!

I enjoyed the show... chatted with a bunch of HAMB'ers, did some business and spent some money. What else does a guy need to have a good weekend? I also added another project to my list...I bought a lathe at the show. http://glennsplace.com/my_lathe_project.htm.
