What size front rotors can you use with 15" wheels.

It depends on the style of wheel and wheel backspacing etc also the type of caliper.

The front brakes on my Model A are 11" with Metric GM calipers. Got the kit from Speedway. Pretty standard stuff. Wheels are 15 X 5 dual pattern (ugh!) steel wheels.

Depends on the wheel sometimes. You have to have clearance for the calipers

11 and 12 were available for Fords. Not going much larger than 12" and still have room for a caliper in a 15" wheel.

  8. In my exp. anything larger than 12" won't clear. As has been stated, the size of the calipers is a factor. My 67 Mustang GTA had rotors that measured 11.3" and 14" wheels would fit. Small calipers. :) 15" American torque thrust d's will fit on a GM 12" rotor with the big car calipers. I don't remember the part number of the calipers. :)

C3 vettes used 11.75" rotor, that's the largest factory rotor with 15" wheel I can think of.
Not all 15" wheels will fit either.

Caliper clearance is the bigger concern.

If you're going aftermarket there may be better options, but most are still based on a factory rotor.

Does that car have a front clip swapped in? I'd be more concerned with what fits the spindles. 11" rotors with good caliper / performance pads / correct master cylinder will perform very well.

I have 11" rotors, GM calipers, and my Torq Thrust 15" wheels have 2.4" backspace. Plenty of clearance on mine.

Rotors!! We don't use no stinking rotors (or alternators). I upgraded to 1936 Olds 8cyl front drums, they are bigger than the 6cyl.

I have 11.75" rotors on the front of my Falcon, with Wildwood 6-piston calipers.

Out back are 11.65" SVT Cobra rotors and calipers.

I have 15" Minilite replicas stretched over them.

As others have alluded top, it's a giant can of worms with a bunch of variables. Wheel make and backspacing + width, rotor size and mounting depth, caliper size etc.

I'm working through this trying to figure out the biggest pad and rotor combo I can fit under a 15" wheel on a Studebaker since I am more or less married to not having a vacuum booster on my particular car.

That being said, an 11" rotor is what is pretty typical below a 15" wheel. Should fit just about anything and probably have more than enough power to lock up your average street tire. Can you provide more details on what you are trying to do?
