Art & Inspiration That junk pile got a name?

Posted on that soul thread going on, and as I did it made me wonder, does everybody name their car? Can't have a soul if it ain't got no name! My wife names every damn thing on the property! From cats to trees! My car is Ruckus- an unpleasant, unwanted noise. I found it fitting. Ashley called her truck "amen", her truck, her choice lol. So what do you call your old ride?

 

The '39 p/u in my avatar is "Rusty" for obvious reasons. My '54 Ranch Wagon is Lucille because she's red.

 

Before you try to write me a ticket officer, I searched for a similar thread.

 

My wife has names for all hers, and mine. She calls my El Camino Cherry, I call it my car, and sometimes worse, but they are all she's

Yeah, one of mine has a name, painted right there on the side of it, but the rest don't.

First car 1958 was a 2dr '49 Chev Sedan
cost me 100 bucks... so had to name it "C Note"
Guys at school asked if it was because dual pipes
They just didn't get it...

 

Didn't say I was thorough! I typed in car names and looked though a page, that was the extent of my search energy. And plan b is probably one of the better known cars on the hamb, you have the title of most driven/ beaten hot rod here lol

I like cars with names, but I haven't named any of mine. I keep waffling on what to call my T, and my Dart is just The Dart... it's the only one around here, so it doesn't need a name. Dodge gave it one and everyone knows it.

 

I can't find any history or info on the 32 Plymouth Sedan I drug home so I'm thinking of calling her "Blind Date" And yes, my wife names every car we own.

 

I just call it mine.

 

A "name my car" thread was once an open invitation for an incredible flaming. Some of the funniest stuff I've read on the HAMB, but far from politically correct.

I originally called my Model A Coupe "MaryLou", named in honor of the couple I bought it from. After I got the car home, started working on it and came to realize it had been grossly misrepresented as a survivor car I dropped the name. It was a cobbled together mess, but I guess that's on me for not examining it more thoroughly before buying. Oh well. (sigh). It's redone now and I just call it the Model A.
