Only markings are '616 S' stamped on the wings Glass panels are replaceable Can't find any info or images on any continent for it. It's made of aluminum and is for a split windshield car Measures around 50"....is slightly adjustable Any help is welcome
I've dealt in a lot of old car visors and I never saw one of these before. It's definitely not boat, and the corner ends seem awfully rounded for a semi truck cab, plus it's not overly wide. My first thought is this is an aftermarket VW accessory but that's only a guess.
Truth there: we took those damned things off and threw them in the dump back years ago. No one ever even though of running one until Lowrider magazine showed up on the scene with the East LA bombas. Don't believe me, go through Rik Hoving's Custom Chronicals page by page and not one custom car has a visor that actually was sold as a "frost shield" to keep frost off the windshield. They aren't custom and they aren't traditonal unless they are in your scrap pile.
Looks like old universal visor i once had and modified to use glass with a custom center piece for missing the front middle. ill have to see if i can find picture of it (found picture) it mounted the same as yours on sides and middle.
Maybe some guy had a normal visor installed and couldn't see the traffic light and decided to modify it a bit by adding the see through section. Doesn't look too hard to do.
I had a 64 Pete years ago, and that visor on the truck above is not the normal Peterbilt thing, its aftermarket I assume. Never seen one like it....or the OP's
