Hello,

Why settle for something commercial, make one (or more with the patterns all set up) in one simple day with your own drawings or if so inclined, a photo with good composition or no background visible. This after all, is about your hot rod or your friend’s hot rod. Not people wandering around in your photo from a car show or event. Unless posed for the family photo.

Thanks for allowing me to use those shots in the example.

Start out with some photos, if your personal drawings are not up to your standards or commercial standards. But, they are your drawings… it gives a personal touch with the simple drawings. We are not all Hot Rod Jack, Gary Campesi, or Jeff Norwell, but we try our best.

Make this pattern as small or as large as you want, on a cardboard stock. The cut lines will fold out when the card is opened. The fold lines will be folded so it gives the main photo 3-d depth when the card is opened. If you print the photos, then they can be glued to the fold out stock paper.

The rest of the card is in the details. Color or write some cool notes about the past year or just wish everyone a Merry Christmas Holiday Season…

If you set it up correctly, the bottom photo will “pop up” when someone opens the card.

The final thing is that if you make the card the size you want, then you will have to have a custom envelope to fit.

So, here is the pattern:

Place the finished card inside and then create the outside pattern for printing on colored paper, taking time to do some light gluing. Have fun and Happy Holidays…
