I'm thinking that Pete is probably your best contact to be able to relay your info.

I run one on our 57 Chevy (passenger side) I have a spare on the wall (drivers side) iirc. If they dont have what you need available send me a pm.. Id part w my spare for whatever it cost me. I bought mine from Waldens several years ago. Worked great w a stock GM generator. It looks just like the unit 48 Stude posted.

Does the front leg run down to the WP mounting boss or to a late model head boss?
    Thanks!

It mounts to the upper water pump bolt. It works with early heads that didn't have bolt holes. Bill

Thanks! Apologies for hooking the thread, @1954FORD. One of those would also work on my 283.
Guess that they’re N/A these days. That leaves Alan Grove, or V.A., which are pretty much the same.

Won't do you any good but Roadster Supply has duplicated the right side mount.

  27. Hey @nochop does the generator just bolt up and put the pulley in the right place or are their any mods needed.

Also: I was reading your thread about the car this engine was in:

    https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/blowing-this-thing-apart.1257505/

and notice that it had an alternator on this bracket. Have you used a generator on this bracket on another build to confirm fit?

It sure looks like an awesome option if it is a bolt on.

I ran an alternator. I ran a spacer with the through bolt to get alignment

  29. Ya know, the design of that smog bracket sure looks like something a guy could copy and make one to fit a generator.

It sure is a simple clean design.

IMG_1420.JPG I modified an alternator mount kit from www.welderseries.com #WS2392. Used their hard to make pieces and made up the support in the back. They also have a lower mounting kit and one for the passenger side.
