40-41 ford pickup picture thread

I love the new look. I’m sorry, but I hated those flames. The truck looks awesome now!

Saw one yesterday at the tire shop in Hudsonville, didn't have time to stop and take a pic, it was kind of a patinaed mint green with white walls, and radar 5 spokes, with a spare tire on the side.

 

Much nicer. Good call on dousing the flames.

 

I just picked a 41 up... any more out there?

Working on this all original 41 that I picked up a few months ago. Getting it to sit right and staggering tires a bit more than this at the moment. Also came with a literal truckload of 40-41 parts if anyone needs anything.

 

Wow. That's the way to buy 'em.

Of all the 39-40 Ford pics that I have and this is the only truck pick that I have...shameful.

 

I'm still driving my 41 around. I just work on it as needed. I did order some new tires for it from Coker. They're on back order.........

Did you add plate marker lights in that surround? Looks very cool BTW.

 

I always drill a hole above the plate and make a little housing for a bulb out of some aluminum flashing

On the pan, I wanted to offset it, so it wouldn't make the box look too deep. So I louvered and bent some .063 aluminum, with an open hem on the top, to slip over the lower box flanges. This is what the rough part looked like.

My start a few years back is all apart now. I actually drove it for about 1 1/2 seasons.
