A Gen-1 Hemi would be more traditional.

Not in the 60’s? I picture it channeled on 32 rails with some big window mags in back and kidney beans in front

    I disagree, for this site.

The 426 came out in 1964, and that was as a race engine. The street Hemi came out in 1965 (1966 model year). This board has a cutoff of 1965, and older.

Those two years cannot account for a high percentage of HAMB friendly vehicles.

Even the richest builders, building full-tilt, could have not made many examples in just two years, and certainly not as many as in the 14-years that the Gen 1 Hemi was around before the cutoff.

Only 10,904 examples of the street 426 were made in the entire model run, 1966-1971. That would be an average of 2,181/year. Even if we ***umed (incorrectly) that production was the same during the race years, that would only be a maximum of 4,362 engines in the HAMB years.

The race-only production numbers were far lower than that, and they were sold to racers. It is very likely that few made it into hot rods in those two years.

In the 60's, for sure, but not in the HAMB 60's.

Well **** I guess I’ll have to return it. Lol glad I kept the recites!

~and yeah your totally right, I wasn’t thinking of 60’s via site cut offs just in general.

Joey because of this slight oversight your earlier hemi won’t make it to cali until new years. You have my apologies

    Hey J,

Could I interest you in a more reasonable custom, 10 cylinder Hemi complete?

I have a couple of these guys rolling around someplace in the model car drawer. Flames and all...

The first one was front and center on our granddaughter’s Christmas Tree… “The Gathering of The Tribes” event every Christmas holidays since 2005.

Granddaughter Tree... With the latest personal labeled, mini ornaments commemorating her achievement for the year in ballet performances. The Sugar Plum Fairy !!! We were proud grandparents…

One year, I got a couple of these 32 coupes as an extra gift or one was attached to a present as a bow accessory. They hit the road to others in need of toys… The red ones stayed to meet their fate when time allows a more concentrated effort in the garage workshop. One plug per header pipe for starters…

Hot Wheels, a tradition from the good old days and something to bring a smile to a little kid’s face… or even some old 78+ hot rod/drag racer/cruiser… (also, a little toddler girl finding a well worn salt air/water infused Hot Wheels Sedan for her daily sand castle adventures) a smile worth saving in our lasting memory banks…

But, what is with the custom 10 cylinder Hemi, when all else is typical hot rod look as close as a trademark can get?

... A fast 20 cylinder drag race on top of the smooth counter… yes!
