My apologies to you if you thought I was singling you out. That wasn't my intention. The ones that **** me are those that want big money for something their Grandpappy told them 'Ran when parked' just before the war. Either make an attempt at getting it running or advertise it at a sensible amount.

I didn't take it negatively, just gave reasons why a person may just sell something as is along with my personal outlook, when the time comes to sell it I'll get it running and moving under its own power, unless I am 90 years old.

    Ready for restore.

    Translation:
I finally realize that I'm never going to do anything with it. Especially considering the condition that it's in now after sitting for 47 years.

I drove 90mi to look at a "creme puff" early chevy pickup 6cyl, 3speed "lovingly cared for" ..(SOB)... it was the ugliest painted with a brush, dark purple, rusted POS... i ever laid eyes on. Since "murder" was not legal then... I test drove it just to beat on it....dam thing got stuck between gears on a hill... roll up against a curb, no parking break. Unstick it and made it back. And he asks, what did I think ...

They are not the new Metric miles.

  9. "First to see will buy" - I was the "first to see" and I never bought the car. Nobody has ever changed the ad to maybe "next to see will buy", and nothing happened to me because I didn't buy it.
The latest which gives me the ****s is "EOI- Expressions of intertest" - I reply with this-
    int.jpg He looks pretty interested.
This can also be used for "thinking of selling my **X". ( I was thinking about having a hot dog for lunch, but I will keep it to myself until I had it).

  10. The "original miles" are the ones up to when the speedo cable broke or was disconnected. Then the additional, 'mystery miles' were for the next ** years which nobody will ever be able to figure out how many......... but that odo most likely would have turned over more than once.
