Were the metal tack strips on ‘32 Ford closed cars body color or black?

This is an original, unrestored, never repainted tack strip on a `32 5 window. Body is dark green. Tack strip looks to be black.

Thanks. I’m trying to decide what color to paint mine and have been leaning toward black.

I bought a tack strip from UPAC for my 5W and had it powder coated satin black. Matches the black vinyl top perfectly and suits the Commercial Blue paint.

I did the same on my 4dr and it worked well.

Another thing to consider is that the sealing rubber is black and will blend perfectly with a black or satin black tack strip, not so with body colored one.
