How many times have you seen a possible impending doom coming right in front of you? When I was taking a movie of my mom and her friends for a day’s outing with a nice lunch and shopping, I saw a black 59 Impala of our neighbor that lived down the street. He was backing out of his driveway and making a turn toward our house.

By this time, my mom and her friends all got in a 52 Chevy 4 door sedan and started their “girls day out” activity. They were a happy car load of older women with nothing else to do on a Summer day. So, eat lunch without having to prepare it and shop until the money runs out… what a life.

But, as I was filming them walking to the Chevy 4 door sedan, I could see the black 59 Impala starting their trek down the block towards where we were. As the women all got in the car, the driver instantly started the car, waves to “the kid” filming and with a bunch of smiles, off they went.

Right in front of the 59 Chevy Impala with our neighbor probably slamming on his brakes. The women and 52 Chevy jutting out into the street, just as the 59 Impala came up on where I was standing.
