Does anyone know if Johnson's Hot Rod Shop has ever gotten the Hollywood Spring Company up and running? I'm having a struggle finding the right springs for my deuce roadster. Thanks
i don't know about hollywood spring, but there is a interesting post going on , can you build a new 32 for 50 grand? you would be the perfect one to answer beings your building a 32
Tried working with Eaton Detroit Spring but they wanted a detailed blueprint of the spring, something that is beyond my capabilities.
Another possible source is Espo: https://www.springsnthings.com/ For that matter there are many local spring shops around the country, you may be able to find someone local. Many of them deal with heavy trucks, but are also able to build springs for cars.
Someone just posted a reply about a spring company in California then deleted it. I failed to write the companies name down before the delete. Could you re post it please.

The Posie spring I am waiting on is a production spring listed in their catalogue. They have had production problems for the last couple years. Again this morning I talked to them and they said they were doing some rework on the springs but still could not give a definitive answer as to when they will be shipping this particular spring. I guess I am to **** about my hot rods but I have always shot for a certain look.
What about the Suspension Shop in Omaha - he builds tons of stuff for 4wd guys so not sure if he can get what you want. I usually buy mine too. 4402-331-0129
I have contacted several spring manufacturers and the response I got from all of them is they only do a stock width A rear spring and non of them will do a rolled and tapered end on the spring leaf ends.
Have you called St. Louis Spring? They made a custom front spring for my brother, but it didn’t have rolled ends. For something weird like an A rear, they may want you to send a sample or tracing.
The Suspension shop wasn't of choice for the early stuff but was very helpful to provide info. for other resources
St. Louis spring , has been in the same place , doing the same spring work , for over 100 years ,so “yea” they know their **** !!!
Yesterday I was contacted by Johnson's Hot Rod Shop/Hollywood Spring Company and they are still in the R&D phase with the spring business. They did have a timeline for production.
