Or in Southern VA or Piedmont of SC. I am going to find someone to make my darn wide whites round. The last resource in Greensboro, Hall Tire, quit a few months ago as their guy retired. Thanks Rock
Not the closest to you, but worth a phone call: Barry's Tire and Exhaust, Forrest City, NC 828/245-1997 <barrystire@hotmail.com>. I haven't had any personal dealings with them, however. I have enjoyed your build, you have built a beautiful car, and I hope you get it handling so you can enjoy it to the fullest. vic
I had the same problem, square tires I balanced them 100 times finely fixed the problem, sold them to some kid and bought a set of diamond backs know smooth as glass. I think shaving the tires is just a band aid to the problem
Without knowing the rest of the story, I should probably shut the hell up…but…..that sounds F’ed up. What a way to get a kid into our hobby. I’m betting that you mentioned the problem and asked a pittance in exchange or better yet gave them to him.
Might contact Towel City tires in Kannapolis. They build tires, and have the equipment to shave, or cut grooves, and might be able to do this for you.
