Yep. He is working with me a bit on the rear as well. Normally on his A+ Chassis as it is called, the 32 rails stop right at the rear wheel well and take a 90 degree turn in and then back to bobbed rear cross member set up for coil overs etc. However since we are going to be putting a vintage Winters V8 quick change in it, it will have to have a buggy spring mount so it changes the rear drastically.

His normal design looses the arched sections over the axle and fits a model A perfect with out cutting out the floor etc. We currently do not have a floor so no big deal, plus I like seeing the arched chassis rails even though you see very little of them. So he is going to pinch and shape the chassis as he normally does and put in his tubular center section. He will leave the arches, bob the rails and simply secure the rear with a temporary cross section. Then we will place our own spring holder cross member when we are mocking it up. That way everything fits perfect.

BUT...Don't get me too excited because we have the Thames to finish first this winter. In fact, we are going to take it, in roller form, to the Hot Rod Holiday Indoor Car Show this year instead of Dad's Coupe (which we just shelled the two speed glide in last weekend). It never ends! LOL

Well I have a guy here. It only has about 1500 miles on a fresh rebuild. With the amount of sauce in the pan he says we had the shifter mus aligned and it kept the low band going even when it was in high.

Well the Cobra is finally awake again. It seems to have woke up in a fairly bad mood. Sounds extremely pissed off! Lol
...Even more so than normal. I think we stumbled upon a timing setting that it really likes!

Clutch feels great. Took it to the park this afternoon...amazingly beautiful day in the Ozarks. Zoe did a photoshoot I launched for her and some very enthusiastic picnic-ers lol. Got the wheels up for them on the second try. Lol

Zoe is trying to get the video off her camera, we shall see.

If you don't use it, it won't break. It was built use. I would suggest using it! In fact, abusing it is highly recommended.

Every time you have had to pull this thing apart, it reminds me of my own projects. After all the hard work, setbacks and learning, you deserve a good run with the Snake.

I guess with winter coming your way (and that horrible snow stuff that we don't get Down Under ) the opportunities to race are growing thinner.

Can't wait to see you whale on this thing. Wheels up, grinning like a Cheshire cat.

    Cheers,
    Harv

I made a build video to show at the Hot Rod Holidays Car Show. It turned out pretty cool.

Had the Cobra out for a bit this evening. Thought I better take advantage of the nice weather. Last Thursday, here in the wonderfull State of Missery we had -30 wind chills, a week later, 68 degrees! Lol
