Don't appear to be anglia and it has Lotus disc brakes adapted to it. Spindle arms are not weld on, they are original just bent for clearance. Any ideas?

I have never seen a real FED with front brakes, must be from a T-Bucket or something similar.

The spindles only remind me of AMC/Ramble unit’s.

I don't know Pete, that backing plate flange doesn't look Willys, maybe? Here's a picture of mineI made my own bracket and early Mustang 4 piston calipers.

IMG_2943.PNG I guess you could call it more of an altered than a dragster. It was narrow tube frame, one seat, but very short wheelbase. Pic is old and lousy but you get the idea.

They don't bolt on either. They have 3/4" kingpins, and steering arms forged as part of the spindie.

Pictures of the frame it came from might help.

It's long gone. A tube frame of some sort with a BBC in it. Corvair steering box with extended shaft and an Olds rear end.

The caliper bracket being bolted on with spacers behind the spindle causes a bit of an optical dilusion as clarified in post 11.
I have no better than anyone else idea on what spindle it is though. Maybe by taking the caliper brackets off to get some clearer show and tell photos it can be figured out.

    Ok I see it know.

Cleaning more today. The brackets are kinda neat. They look to be a purchased part and are stamped left and right.

I agree with @Pete Eastwood , those are Willys spindles. The red arrow points to a triangular shaped steering stop (it’s hard to see here) forged onto the tie rod arm, Willys spindles had stops like that.
Also, in post #8 @dumprat said the king pins are .750, that ID’s them as ‘37-‘41’s.

@Pete Eastwood and @RICH B for the win! Looks exactly like Willys spindles and lotus Elan brakes added as some sort of kit.

Before being horribly neglected this was a pretty high zoot axle. Full chrome with chrome spring and 4 bar. Drilled discs and 2piston brakes. Would have been cool to see it in its original condition.

    I took a second look.
    I was wrong!
Looks like a regular Willys spindle!

    @Pete Eastwood
I did some google and yes they sure are Willys spindles with Lotus Girling 14lf calipers. Might be Willys hub so modified for the chevy bolt pattern and screw in studs.

I'm going to clean these all up and see if I can use them. Who knows the chrome might even be ok under the black spray bomb.

    Thanks all.
