True hot rod, built mostly in his home garage. Way to go.

It's not hard to see why you would let the '32 to go in order to have this one. Well done.

Thank you!! It runs as good as it looks and sounds. Now hopefully someone will buy/trade for it so I can move on to my next mind melt.

Fantastic finished product! Also still very interested in hearing how you were able to get the paint on the body to match the hood so well.

Some real art ***gy stuff. Honestly l wish I could explain it. I should’ve made a video. I also did the same to Clays 32 roadster and it fooled every old real deal hot rodder in town. Brown rust oleum some high heat black and a few other tones of brown is the paint, I then textured with ****ty dollar store brushes and used mustard for spots and built the look instead of like most every ****ty looking fake patina of sanding thru certain areas…that looks to calculate and contrived.

fly me out I’ll paint your car for you in a weekend.

Mustard? Seriously? Interesting. A video would have been awesome. I agree, others I've seen don't have any dimension in the paint, it's just buffed thin, which rarely matches.

I've got all the pieces to make a '34 and there's a lot of old paint to work with but I'd have to fill in quite a bit of area, that's why I ask. Yours is some of the best match-up work I've seen.

  28. Thanks for sharing, hopefully the next caretaker finishes up the top, it was going to look great with the top on too. I was looking forward to the headlight execution as well, maybe next time. What is going to take its’ place?

32 5 window. A more tame approach which is completely out of my character!!…but I’m looking forward to it.

Dug up some mid build pictures, this is what the headlights would look like.
