Check out Krimes machine shop in ephrata pa. 717-733-1271.

2yrs ago they did a 260 v8 for me. I asked about flatheads and they also do flatheads.

work on the 260 was great, worked with me to fit my budget, sent me pictures along the way… I would go back.

Iv'e built 18 flatheads in the last 2 years. NC. Not close by but I think I can beat any one's price. I have 4 Merc cranks, a **** ***emble and three 8BA blocks in stock right now. This picture. All sold. FLATHEADS FOREVER 001.JPG

Anyone use S & L motor service in Scanton, Pa? Talked to him on phone and he seems pretty straight forward, going to talk in person today.

  8. A few years ago, if I remember correctly, I discussed with S&L to do a flathead block the price seemed very compe***ive, the guy I talked to said they were in business since the 40's if I remember correctly and he said all the right things when I asked questions.

Just me, but I’d wait until the car was getting close to being done, before taking the engine in for a rebuild. I wouldn’t expect a shop to back an engine they built years ago that just sat and waited. Maybe they will, but something to think about.
