@stewartwhite - Blower spaced above the intake, are you planning to run an intercooler? Nice fab work on that frame.

That’s not a street brawler. Taking that thing on would be like a bar fight with Cassius Clay. The stoplight wouldn’t even be green before I ended up with a mouthful of busted teeth.

One of the coolest cars I know.

    Cheers,

  7. A crotch rocket or two or maybe even three has found out how fast it can go from gas to nitro. That being before the light turns green. I almost blew one over from the exhaust pressure on hwy 31. The disbelief on their faces is priceless. Driving into car shows and cruise inns is fun on 85 percent. I think that might be part of the reason I can't get a race. I'm showing my hand too soon. Ha ha.

I would pick my son up from school every Friday alternating between the truck, Henry J and the t-bucket, one of the teachers ask my son if I owned any quiet cars ha ha ha

  9. The Henry J, tons of city driving, plenty of 45 minute drives to work, trips to school, trips to lunch with the kids, doctor's appointments, just another quiet pump gas daily driver out of Peacock's Lube-Atory

  10. The bucket, just an old guy in his old slow car, this one is fun to take to the weekly grudge races and beat up on the young kids in their ricers.
One night I got all the laughs when I pulled to the line, heckled with " Look, grandpa in his grandpa car !" on the 3rd race the heckling turned into "hey, can you take it easy on them" brawler ha ha

Yep. 2300 pounds, a 4 speed and 4.11 gears doesn't take much engine to get it moving.

I am not sure if I would call it a street brawler, as much as I would call it a daily driver. Mine looks unassuming, but puts a smile on my face and disbelief on others. People tell me it shouldn't be that fast, and I just agree, with a smile.

The only thing in Lloyd's pic bigger than the foliage is the beer cooler in the El Camino!

This '61 is being built for such. Drag and drive events, the main drag every once in a while and test-n-tune Fridays at the local track. 460, 4 speed toploader, ladder bars, Detroit locker, etc. I'll be disappointed if it won't go high 10s on slicks. In primer.jpg

It only had 60 beers and 2 bottles of Woodford reserve in it right there, it'll hold a lot more :D I introduced Mike Bartone of the Bartone-Lebor nostalgia funny car team to Kentucky bourbon at that hotel last year

  30. well with a curb weight of 3000 lbs and an available 250 horse motor I suppose anything over 335 horse moves it to sleeper status. LOL
