Especially the front. This is a 40 with 1 change. Whatcha think? Like a girl in nice tight yoga pants but wears a long sweater, sometimes you just wanna see.

The license plate needed to go for sure. I don't think I'd dislike the fog lights as much if they weren't positioned so awkwardly behind the bumper uprights. If the offset brackets were swung around the other way they would have been alright, but I probably like the car better without them entirely anyway.

  4. no bumper..

Sometime too much boob does require some reduction. Like it.

Girl in yogapants with a long sweater, haha best comparcion....
I'm no fan of these foglights i like the more clean look, and plates doesnt fit anywhere on these cars, same issue on the Buick 1950
I even prefer these Lincolns without the front bumper, but with one important thing, bumper brackets removed but the holes saved in the body, can't explain why i like it, but if the holes are removed i think it looks odd.

I've never driven a car with fog lights, or Appleton spotlights, just too damn ugly to look at in the daytime to ever bolt on something I'd own. All the fog lights and spots lights I've had went on eBay.

^^^^ Ditto. Fog lights belong on grampa’s car, along with curb feelers. Looks much better.

    Speaking of Zephyr's...
Here's one Mike Bello's just finished up.
Shows the whole build on his YouTube channel.... Seriously talented fellow

  14. You are on the wrong end of the car for the zephyr’s best features.

This is a 1941 (parking lights/turn signals atop the front fenders) with 1940 grilles (interchangeable).

It's a 40. Fender parks were added for turn signals some time in its past life. We're not gonna change that.

  19. All Zephers make me drool. No plate, no spots all good. My Dad drove Lincolns and I have the Hot Rod Lincoln sound track running in my head every time I do menial fiddling - kind of like the Benny Hill sound track. Can't shake it. Here's some I saw at the LeMay Museum over the XMas holidays. There is a 4 door for sale within driving range to me I could even do if I could justify - which I can't. Love these cars. Do it proud!! 20221229_140053_resized - Copy.jpg 20221229_140106_resized - Copy.jpg 20221229_144053_resized.jpg 39linolnzepher.jpg

There happens to be another on the horizon for minor service and updates. Enjoy...

I'm trying to talk him into dropping it just an inch or 2. Previous owner re-arched the springs I think, or I'm just that guy, maybe...

Built this '41 in the late '90s. Sold it (like an idiot) before I got it finished. The guy I sold it to put it in a trailer body and never did anything with it. I've been trying to buy it back for the past 10 years 0.77.jpg 0.78.jpg

Easier said than done. He's a friend of mine, has about a half dozen rods and customs, and doesn't need the money. He's admitted that he has no plans for it...BUT, I think he enjoys hanging it over my head...teasing me with it.

  28. Ray Dunham has two beautiful ones. Rockabilly Jesus(John Barnes) has a really nice 37 or 38, not sure. There's plenty of pics on the interweb. Then there's Roger O'dells, black and gold one with the front and rear skirts. Slddnmatt made an awesome conv out of a 4dr.
