Changed things up a little. Dropped the body one just to mess with other stuff. Is there a video or book that shows how to make those fuel lines? They look great.

I found one that showed you how to use a bender. Was a little help. The book was a little help too. Mostly trial and error….more errors than final product. AKA…..prototypes

A little floor work, I’m not sure how I’m going to remedy arising the trans cover up, but something will pop up. The cover was made by a good friend who is no longer with us. It has to stay. 6CA03D38-C524-48C6-A982-2016AE41F9D4.jpeg AC2E6F42-C5C5-4778-B540-C4DB5076B0B2.jpeg 047ECC1E-FD0E-4113-8691-79AC04FA96AE.jpeg

  13. Nice find on the air cleaners! Maybe not terribly important in the overall scheme but those have been found to be quite restrictive to the air flow for performance fwiw.

That is true. I had one on a 221 FH, my neighbor came by and wrinkled his nose a bit, had me take it off. Seemed like a new engine.

Not paper, metal mesh akin to very course steel wool, I can’t see that element restrict a fly let alone air. Right now they will keep me from dropping a screw down the carbs during the madness.

Hey @nochop any progress on your coupe? I shouldn't be pointing the finger as there's been no update to my build thread since April or May last year LOL

Actually I’ve been on it. So many small things going on. Small details that really count, brackets, wire routes etc. I’ll get some updates soon. Thanks for the interest, W

Out of curiosity...were the vintage air cleaners tested...or modern available repops? I'm sure that the new ones have tiny paper elements..(made overseas) which I can see would be restrictive. The original stuff didn't use paper elements. They either used some sort of fiber as noted...or no filtering element at all when it comes to scoops or velocity stacks
