Bought a set of hub caps that supposedly fit '46 Ford pickup or '42 ford p***enger...But they don't. The ring on the back measures approximately 7 1/2, whereas the original caps measure about 8 1/8. I would like to sell these as they don't work on my '46 pickup, but I don't know what they fit...Any idea what these might be suitable for? Besides feeding my dog...thanks

    Perhaps they fit aftermarket wheels?

One of the aftermarket wheel manufacturers made their wheels with an odd cap ID. I can't remember who though. I did buy a set of caps once at a swap meet that were like yours = wrong fit. I sold them at another swap meet with full disclosure they were an odd size.

Coker Smoothie wheels take 7 1/2" caps.
