Just adds to that "tail dragger" deal parked in that orientation. :p

If you and "Bob" go out to celebrate, get Silas to "volunteer" to be your designated driver.

Well, Silas decided to go ahead and list Pinky for sale. I am ok whatever happens, since most of us can relate to this disease of wanting lots of different cars but limited budget and time. He is likely more mature than I was at this age in that he realizes that the people and memories are what’s important more than any actual car. Took me a bit to understand that fact.

We all have a car or three that we wish we had kept when we were younger. He will also-- almost a rite of p***age....

I’ll be honest, I think he has it priced too high, and that most here would agree. But, I can’t blame him for trying. I probably need to go ahead and post it in the cl***ifieds here as well. The asking price is $14,500 OBO and he actually has a young guy in Texas wanting to trade him a 55 Packard two door hardtop. Anyway, we will see and I would be curious what others think of the price he put on it. I know I still think this stuff should be cheap, but also know some pay big bucks for stuff anymore.

  19. I think that is a fair price.

If you are a seller, your price can always go down but it's tough to raise it. Sounds like he's leaving good room for movement.

I think everything in this hobby is priced too high. I guess I'm old school that way too. That does seem like a fair price on pinky though. Its only worth what you have in your hand the day you sell it.

I think the price is spot on..... gee... 4 tires now are 2k.... a running driving car for that price is getting hard to find
    Happy Birthday(belated) Jeff!

  26. I might be out of touch, but that sounds kind of high to me (I don't know what your local market will bear, so take this with a grain of salt). It has to be priced at a level that will draw potential buyers into making contact, not make them skip over it to find a more budget-friendly ride. Good luck...

The market right now is higher than bat ****s, with all that new stuff it seems about what I’d expect to see.

The price is not bad considering all the work that was done, plus it is not a rust bucket and is a complete car. I have spent thousands scaring up parts for my car.

He isn’t sure other than really wants to finish his 63 C10 swb with most of the money. He is planning to pick up a 59 Studebaker Lark that the folks that I got my 61 GMC had and also found a pretty decent 68 C10 that is owned by his best friends great grandma and should be a decent price. The main focus will be the 63 C10 though...today but that can change any minute.
