So Henry Ford was anti hot rod??? Another reason I'm not a Ford man huh. My buddy has a 57 Chevy with a 428CJ in it. He's a proactive Ford man.

 

But Henry would probably be ok with a German engine

He also didn't build them for you to chop them or add extra carbs either.

Something that makes me chuckle to myself is he builds Fords all his life but his last ride is in a Packard.

Seriously, do some of you really think Henry Ford said that? He died before the 55 Chevy V-8 was introduced.

HAHA, yeah it's astonishing that I think most replies here are sincere.

 

They had Edsel's custom '40 at an exhibit I visited. The information board beside it started that Edsel had to hide it from Henry, less he decide it should go into the crusher...

LOL I have always figured that those haters normally don't have a hot rod at all. They drive around in a rusty mid 60's early 70's Ford and post thier comments about anything except a Ford in a ford but you usually never see a Ford powered car that they built. Plus they sure don't come running when someone puts up a car for sale with a Ford in it.
A buddy of mine took a 40 Sedan with a 351 Windsor in it that was pretty well Hamb friendly. He took it on a Model A RP that he had up for sale. Nice RP too. He started out with what I thought was an honest price on the 40 and kept dropping the price until finally somone bought it. I always figured that the deal breaker was the 351 rather than a 327 or 350. I even posted info in the Hamb Classifieds and not one person asked about it. Not even the internet lowballers.
