Bumping an ancient thread. I'm in need of one of these kits; I'm guessing they have been discontinued. Anyone have any ideas where I can find one?

They're on Ebay sometimes. After they quit making them Lisle used the 59000 number for a ratcheting belt tool.

that number comes up now a serpentine tool, I ***uming you already know that.
If your pulling a replaceable valve guide, I did a few on engine with heads on Exhaust side , using piston & rope , dropped valve down but still in head ,tapped guild jacked out with socket & bolt , cut new guild to length used small stick magnet to center up valve steam & pressed new guild in ,,
Same amount of time ( really alot less) instead pulling heads, but cheaper then cost of gaskets

That's some serious Macgyver stuff. But yea, that describes the old school traditional way all right.

could you get by with one or 2 of those cheap universal tool sets in the red plastic boxes that they sell on amazon? I believe Grainger sells the same sets too. Or does it have to be the Lisle set?

Does not have to be the Lisle set. I'd be happy with anything that works. Will check out Amazon and Grainger.

    Thanks

The 2nd weekend of June. It`s huge. They have concerts all weekend. A band from Japan comes over every other year. They give out about 50 grand in scholarships with the winners performing. They also have a museum by his birthplace home. I go to Indy for the Custom Car Revival that weekend.
